We acknowledge that we are on the traditional and unceded lands of the many Indigenous peoples who have lived here for thousands of years.
We also honor and express our deep gratitude to our ancestors, whose resilience, wisdom, and connection to the land have shaped who we are today. Their strength continues to inspire and guide us as we walk forward in solidarity with Indigenous peoples in the ongoing journey of truth and reconciliation.

Hannan’s Village of Hope is dedicated to bridging the gap between homelessness and stability, offering a compassionate and empowering space for individuals navigating life’s toughest challenges. With a focus on reintegration, we are addressing the urgent need for emergency and transitional housing in Ontario through the creation of an innovative, state-of-the-art portable homeless shelter.
Rooted in research and guided by empathy, Hannan’s provides holistic support services—including safe shelter, nourishing meals, addictions care, hygiene facilities, and tailored social services. We believe that stable housing, combined with wraparound care, transforms lives—leading to better health, meaningful employment, and a reduction in chronic homelessness.
At Hannan’s, our mission is to plant seeds of hope and foster pathways to lasting stability and empowerment for every individual we serve, creating a brighter future for our community.

Hannan’s Village of Hope operates as a lived experience-centered organization, embracing a comprehensive approach to care that prioritizes empathy, understanding, and trust. We connect individuals with complex needs to healthcare services, mental health and addiction support, social services, and employment assistance. Central to our approach is a harm reduction model, which provides a safe, nonjudgmental environment where residents can explore treatment options at their own pace.
Our team is enriched by peers with lived experience—individuals who have faced and overcome similar challenges—offering relatable guidance and support that fosters trust and a sense of belonging. By integrating the voices and insights of those who have walked similar paths, we ensure our services are not only effective but also deeply compassionate.
Through these wraparound services, we help residents regain their health, enhance their employment prospects, and break free from the cycle of homelessness. At Hannan’s, we empower individuals to take control of their future and achieve long-term independence, guided by the wisdom and strength of lived experience.
