As cousins, we share a bond that runs deep, shaped by our shared Métis, European, and Caribbean heritage. Our roots carry the strength and wisdom of our ancestors, grounding us in a legacy of perseverance and connection.

Our journey into this work is deeply personal. Both of us grew up witnessing the struggles and triumphs of parents who overcame addiction, inspiring in us a profound understanding of the complexities of recovery and the courage it takes to rebuild a life. Our own paths were not without their challenges—struggles with mental health, substance use, domestic violence, and loss could have defined us. Instead, these experiences became the foundation of our purpose.

When we found ourselves as peer support workers in a shelter, it was a turning point. The work not only saved our lives but awakened a passion for community care. In the midst of hardship, we met some of the most remarkable people we’ve ever known—clients who taught us the strength of the human spirit and the beauty of shared humanity. God placed it on our hearts to do more than just work within the system; we were called to create something transformative.

Hannan's was born from this calling—a vision to lead with love, guided by the wisdom of lived experience. We understand firsthand how embracing someone’s story, rather than judging it, can plant the seeds of hope and healing. Our mission is simple but profound: to foster connection, restore dignity, and be a source of light for those navigating life’s darkest moments.
